If our founding fathers could see us today, they would shudder at the direction America is going. I know a lot of you do not care about politics, but you really should. If you don't care, then you won't vote. If you don't vote, then your sacred unalienable rights as an American will slowly and surely die. I'm really hoping that maybe by some small chance that by reading this, i can help a few people understand how crucial it is to get involved with the political system. It doesn't matter what political party you are, I just want people to get involved and stand up for what they know is right. That is why I am starting a series of blogs that I will post, informing people of the way our founding fathers ment for America to be for all time.
In the past months, I have developed a passion for politics. However, I am not happy with the way this country is headed. I LOVE this country, please do not get me wrong. It is because I love Her that I am doing this. I want Americans to grasp what is right and important. Throughout this blog, I will reference to the book The 5000 Year Leap by W. Cleon Skousen.
Now, I strongly believe that as a collective unit, all Americans want one thing. FREEDOM. We as a nation wouldn't be where we are today if it were not for freedom. It is through freedom that many of our modern inventions came to be. In America's young days, the Founding Fathers believed that a man should be able to BUY, TRY, SELL, and FAIL. Yes, fail. Thomas Edison once said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." If you don't fail, you cannot learn how to make something better. And look at where we are because of Edison! You probably wouldn't be reading this were it not for him. Please keep that in mind as you read my future blogs.
